RIE Coatings recognized as a “Whitford Recommended Coater”

September 2018, Eden Valley, Minnesota. Whitford, makers of the world’s largest, most complete line of fluoropolymer coatings, has named RIE Coatings, LLC, of Eden Valley, Minnesota, a member of the “Whitford Recommended Coater” program and awarded a plaque to Randy Hanson, Senior VP of Research and Development. Samantha Hubbs of Whitford states, “RIE Coatings employs highly skilled professionals who operate a meticulously maintained coating facility specializing in protective coatings. They are consistently providing their customers with exceptional quality, service and on-time delivery”.

The Whitford Recommended Coater program recognizes custom coaters who meet certain demanding criteria. Among them: the coater must have thorough knowledge of Whitford coatings and experience in applying them, must complete a Whitford training course held at the worldwide headquarters and must have certain quality-assurance procedures in place. Coaters in the program go through rigorous audits every two years to requalify for the program.

Established in 1987, RIE Coatings applies coatings for protection and performance on a variety of materials. RIE serves many industries, including ATV, agricultural, computer, fastener, hardware, industrial, marine and military. In 2016, RIE established a satellite facility in Iowa that provides pre-treatment and dip-spin capabilities, utilizing semi-automatic processing equipment.

Adds RIE’s Jennifer Van Horn, Quality Manager, “The quality system developed by RIE to ensure that its products, standards and services meet the rigorous manufacturing and safety requirements demanded by our customers is directly in line with the standards expected of Whitford’s recommended coaters. We are proud to be a part of this team”.
