Xylan XLR
Overview
Xylan XLR, a revolutionary fluoropolymer nonstick coating has been developed
specifically to provide dry-film release with exceptional resistance to
permeation. This heat-resistant coating offers greatly increased
release-life as well as a reduced tendency for formed parts to stick to the
mold, for food to stick to industrial bakeware, for polyethylene to stick to
heat-sealing bars or other difficult applications where release is required.
This two-coat, waterborne system consists of a unique, super-high release
topcoat with a lightly reinforced primer suitable for a variety of
substrates including carbon steel. A more heavily reinforced primer is
available for applications where a lot of abrasion resistance is required.
It is food-safe and can be used at temperatures up to 500°F/260°C.
One example might be where thermoforming companies want to increase the
efficiency of their molding operations including fewer recoats, less
downtime, lower transportation costs (shipping molds to and from the
coater), and better performance where sticking is a problem. Xylan XLR will
help them achieve this objective. Xylan XLR is available now through our
network of custom coaters. Call us for a coater in your area.
7 ways new Xylan XLR is better:
- Better release than any coating on the market
- Longer-lasting release than any coating on the market
- Improved resistance to permeation
- Improved hardness
- Enhanced resistance to abrasion
- Superior smoothness/higher gloss
- Dramatic cost-savings due to reduced need to recoat

Xylan XLR is ideal for coating molds
of all kinds. |
