Xylan® Coatings

Whitford coatings suited for reprographic applications.

 

Typical Application Product Code Description
Fuser roller topcoat. XLR 17-353 PTFE-conductive topcoat for reprographic fuser roller.
Anti-static coating for copier rollers. 1781 PTFE-conductive basecoat for reprographic fuser roller.
Anti-static coating for copier rollers. 1782 PTFE-conductive midcoat for reprographic fuser roller.
Anti-static coating for copier rollers. 1783 PTFE-conductive topcoat for reprographic fuser roller.
A conductive basecoat providing excellent adhesion. 4060 PFA-conductive basecoat for reprographic fuser roller.
Extreme release high-temperature applications. 1700 Xylan 1700 series is recommended for "extreme use" applications which require excellent nonstick or chemical resistance. This series uses PFA as the fluoropolymer. A variety of basecoats may be used with the PFA topcoat; or a 1700 PFA basecoat is also suitable.
Can be used with the 75-4018 basecoat to accomplish high builds of 70-90 microns. 75-4001-1 This basecoat was designed to be applied over a gritblast or alkali-etched aluminum substrate.
Can be used with the 75-4018 basecoat to accomplish high builds of 70-90 microns. 75-4002-1 Reinforced midcoat, part of a 3-coat high durability system.
Can be used with the 75-4018 basecoat to accomplish high builds of 70-90 microns. 75-4003-1 High release topcoat designed to give excellent release to a 3-coat reinforced coating.
Designed for copier rollers — providing an adhesion layer for a PFA sleeve. 75-4022-1 The basecoat is applied to a copier roller and dried; then a PFA sleeve is applied. This is then shrunk onto the basecoat at a temperature of approximately 600°F.
For the inside of copier rollers. I-10008-3 A matte coating that absorbs IR from the halogen heat source and heats the roller to fuse the ink.
For the inside of copier rollers. 90-2002B-2 A matte coating that absorbs IR from the halogen heat source and heats the roller to fuse the ink.
To be applied on a paper transfer roller on a copier machine. I-10408B A water-based one coat system designed to give high-friction properties needed to remove paper from a copier machine.
Topcoat with a liquid basecoat for high speed fuser rolls.

80-511 PFA

The basecoat is applied and the powder topcoat is applied in multiple passes to achieve the desired DFT.
Topcoat with a liquid basecoat for high speed fuser rolls. 80-510 PFA+ The basecoat is applied and dried. The powder topcoat is then applied in multiple passes to achieve the DFT.
Standard basecoat for use on high speed copier rollers. 75-4018-1 Basecoat that has a high level of reinforcement that gives enhanced life of the roller.
Designed for the latest generation of fusing belts, made from for instance, smooth stainless steel. 75-1044-1 Will adhere to smooth (no grit-blast) fusing belts, topcoated with either 2 or 3 layers. Will give excellent service-life.
Basecoat for PFA powders used for high speed fuser rolls. 80-087 Black waterborne basecoat for PFA powder topcoats.
